Barbara Mulcahy graduated from Tufts University and later received her MA from University of Massachusetts, Boston, where she was awarded The Alvin Ryan prize for writing. Barbara has taught high school, in the Higher Education Program for Prisoners at MCI Cedar Junction and MCI Norfolk, Wheelock College, University of Massachusetts at Boston Continuing Education Program, and Northeastern University. She is married to Brian Mulcahy, and has two adult children, and a much-pampered cat, Sammy. She enjoys reading, walking, running, cooking (and eating!), and spending time with good friends.
