Kara Provost

Kara Provost earned an MA and PhD in English from the University of Minnesota with concentrations in contemporary American poetry and multicultural American literature. She has published poetry and memoir in a number of literary journals; her chapbook Nests was published in 2006 by Finishing Line Press. At Curry, Kara teaches writing and literature courses in the Academic Enrichment and English departments in addition to teaching the First Year Honors Colloquium. Her academic interests include expository and creative writing, contemporary poetry, and Native American literature, as well as developmental and honors education.
