Gabrielle Regney, Associate Professor of English and Women's Studies, loves Curry's unique mission. She is a several time poetry slam winner and occasionally publishes poetry. Dr. Regney presents papers at such conferences as MLA, 4C's, and the Modernist Association. Her graduate degrees in English and Women's Studies are from The City University of New York, where she also taught, and she has taught at community colleges in Pennsylvania and New Jersey as well. At Bronx Community College, she served as Coordinator of a large Writing Across the Curriculum program and she continues WAC work at Curry.
Most recently, Gabrielle's scholarship has been in Animal Studies and Anthrozoology (human-animal interaction) and she has presented internationally on Animals in Fiction. Courses Gabrielle has developed at Curry include "Animals in Literature" and "Banned Books and Dangerous Ideas."
