Dr. Winbury received her Ph.D. in educational psychology and learning disabilities from the University of Connecticut.  Initially working as an elementary school resource room teacher, she went on to psycho-educational testing and consulting at Yale Medical School, the University of Connecticut Health Center, Boston Children's Hospital, and private practice, as well as college teaching. 

Currently, Nancy is the Admission Coordinator for the Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL) at Curry College.  She also founded and directed Curry College's Educational Diagnostic Center (EDC), a testing center specializing in the evaluation of adolescents and adults.  In addition to her administrative roles at Curry College, Nancy teaches and advises students with learning differences, ADHD, and/or executive function difficulties. 

She has presented workshops on a variety of topics, including: the college search process for students with learning differences, ADHD, and/or executive function difficulties; psycho-educational testing and diagnosis; and early reading development.  Her interests include learning differences, transition from high school to post-secondary education, and strength-based assessment.   Her recent research has explored factors that relate to academic success for first year college students with learning difficulties.
