INTRODUCTION TO FACULTY APPOINTMENT AND EVALUATION
Terms of faculty appointment and evaluation are detailed in the AAUP Agreement - available on the College Common Drive or through the AAUP office. All new part-time faculty are appointed at the Associate Lecturer rank on a semester to semester basis; associate lecturers are not subject to the terms of the AAUP Agreement. Lecturers, Senior Lecturers, and Full-time faculty are governed by the terms of the Agreement.
EVALUATION:
Evaluation is conducted by a Departmental or Divisional Evaluation Committee (DEC). It is the faculty member's responsibility to learn about and conform to the application process as well as comply with stated deadlines. Detailed information is available in the Agreement.
