Featured in the Winter 2015 Edition of Curry Magazine, we mark the 135th year since Curry College’s founding in 1879. Dr. David Fedo, Academic Vice President Emeritus, has combed through the archives and interviewed members of the Curry Community in an undertaking to celebrate this anniversary. Contrasting this, our photo-essay Living and Learning provides a window into the lives of students residing in our newest building on campus, Bell Hall. We also feature the successes of two alums from separate generations, making their mark after Curry.
The Winter 2015 edition of Curry Magazine online includes exerpts from a recent interview with Academic Vice President Emeritus, Dr. David A. Fedo, as he discusses both the history and legacy of Curry College. Biology major Kenley Preval '15 talks about the Living & Learning Community in Bell Hall. Also, the Men's Hockey Team and President Quigley use ice in different ways to support two worthy causes.
Faculty in Focus in the Winter of 2015 include Dr. Susan LaRocco (Nursing), who is representing Curry College overseas as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Jordan at Amman. Also, a collaborative faculty, student, stafff effort brought a unique new permanent fixture to campus in the form of sculpture. Curry also added several new rigorous and relevant programs to its already robust offerings.

The Curry College that exists today is far different from the institution founded as The School of Elocution and Expression in 1879. The location of the campus has changed, academic offerings have expanded and new buildings have been constructed. Over the past year, Dr. David A. Fedo, Academic Vice President Emeritus, has been curating a history of Curry College. For Dr. Fedo, the growth of Curry begins with its founders: Samuel Silas and Anna Baright Curry. Dr. Fedo's, 'The History of Curry College: Impressions, Memories and Reflections.' will be posted shortly to the Curry website, so please check back soon. In the meantime, please see the link below to read an exerpt from his publication...
