Information Technology
Position yourself for success in companies and organizations where workers share, store and manage information through computer networks, databases and the Internet. Acquire a solid foundation in software development, database and networking concepts and business applications. Start or complete your bachelor's degree in information technology through the continuing education division at Curry College.
Advance Your Career
Prepare for careers that include network administrator, database manager or website developer. Gain the knowledge and skills you need to advance in your current career or chart a new direction for your future in a field projected to expand faster than average as the demand for well-trained IT workers continues to grow. In classes with busy, working adults just like yourself, you'll learn the skills to manage networks, design and oversee databases, develop web pages and provide help desk support. You'll improve your skills in critical thinking, problem solving, presentation and communication as you acquire the academic foundation for future graduate work.
Set Your Own Pace
The time required to complete your degree depends on the number of courses you take each term, which you can determine according to your personal and professional responsibilities. With new courses beginning at Curry every eight weeks, your progress can be as fast or as flexible as you choose.
Take the Fast Track
Curry helps you fast-track your degree completion by offering:
- Transfer credit for courses completed at other colleges - with no time limit on transfer credits, including science courses. At least 30 credits must be completed at Curry College to earn a degree.
- College credit for equivalent education and relevant work experience.
- College credit for a passing score on CLEP, DANTES or Regents examinations.
