Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing for Registered Nurses

In a period when the health care industry is focused on managed care, community health, and health promotion/disease prevention, the role of nurses takes center stage. Nurses today are expected to perform complex procedures, rely heavily on their own analytical abilities, and work more independently than ever before.

The Job Market

Career opportunities abound in the nursing profession, there is a critical shortage of nurses equipped to assume new roles requiring leadership and management skills and solid foundations in nursing practice. Opportunities exist in the traditional areas of acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, and rehabilitation centers, but there are also many opportunities in community health, educational, and business settings.
