John Durkin '08 - Management
John Durkin '08 decided to go back to school to study Management because he wanted to be involved in the business aspects of his employer's service-based company.
"I have an Associate of Science in Electronics Technology and in the past several years my hard work has earned me promotions from Engineer to Field Service Manager. Still, I wanted to do more professionally; I also wanted to improve myself personally."
"The courses that I took at Curry provided me with the business background that I needed to improve my value to my employer."
John also saw the benefit of going back to school as a working adult. "The evening program and eight-week class schedule at Curry allowed me to continue working while putting the knowledge I gained to use at my job."
"My degree paved the way for my advancement. If I had not taken classes, I may not have been able to progress to the point I am now. I have recently taken on the responsibility for the entire service business in North America."
