SHRM Essentials of HR Managment
What is SHRM Essentials® of HR Management at Curry College?
Curry College partners with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) to offer The SHRM Essentials® of Human Resources Management, an introductory course that provides a comprehensive overview of human resource roles, responsibilities, and best practices. This two day, 15 hour course provides participants with the fundamental knowledge needed to manage challenging human resource issues and avoid potentially costly lawsuits. Developed by HR experts, practitioners, and legal counsel, the SHRM Essentials of Human Resource Management covers essential HR topics in a straightforward, comprehensive approach to ensure that you will be able to master key HR concepts and apply them to the human resource issues you face on the job.

- Professionals with HR responsibilities, but no prior HR experience
- Managers who want to learn basic HR practices and avoid costly mistakes

Each SHRM Essentials of HR Management course participant will receive two printed books. The Participant's Reference Book includes the printed content of the course and addresses the following key human resource management practices:
- Human Resources Management- Gain a clear understanding of the HR function
- Employment Law- Enhance your ability to apply key HR legislation
- Recruitment and Selection- Develop important skills for selecting employees
- Compensation and Benefits- Learn the key elements of a total compensation system
- Employee Development- Discover the purpose and process for performance evaluation
The Participant's Activities Book contains copies of the instructor slides with room for notes and application activities.
Web-based study tools and resources
The web-based tools are designed to support the print materials, provide added opportunities to review and master HR concepts, and gain confidence.

- Post-test to assess learning gain

- Certificate of Achievement awarded to those who pass the post-test with a score of 80% or higher

Plymouth Campus:

Cancellation Policy:
Full refunds will be issued if the student withdraws from the course before it begins. Non-attendance does not constitute official withdrawal. Students must call 888-260-7325 to withdraw prior to the first class. Students are not eligible for a refund once the course has started.
