Corporate Communication

Corporate Communication is a concentration of the Communication major

The Corporate Communication Concentration is designed for students who are interested in studying the internal and external communication needs of organizations. Students may enjoy careers in communication consulting, human resources, sales, management, and political campaigns.

Concentration Required Courses

COM 2010 Public Speaking 3 credits
COM 2100 Managerial Communication 3 credits
COM 2180 Leadership Communication 3 credits
COM 2790 Principles of Public Relations 3 credits
COM 3040 Persuasion 3 credits

Choose two of the following (6 credits):
COM 2112 Conflict Management 3 credits
COM 2130 Nonverbal Communication 3 credits
COM 2320 Effective Listening 3 credits
COM 3010 Small Group Discussion 3 credits
COM 3015 Advanced Public Speaking 3 credits
Total: 21 credits

Semester in N.Y.C.

New York City is the media and business capital of the world and Curry students can be right in the center of the action with the Communication department's Semester in New York City internship program.

Semester in D.C.

Curry students can be right in the center of the action with the Semester in Washington, D.C. internship program.  Students can immerse themselves in various political and media related internships while exploring one of America's most spectacular and vibrant metropolitan areas, our nation's capital.
