Math Lab

The Math Lab, located on the first floor of the Science Building, is a joint undertaking of the Academic Enrichment Center and the Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

The Math Lab is:

• a technology-rich classroom for mathematics courses
• a center for academic support in both mathematics and the sciences

The Math lab is equipped with enough laptops and graphing calculators so that every student in the lab can utilize one during class time. In addition, the lab is equipped with a smart board and a computer projection system. It also houses a range of manipulatives for math education and scientific measuring equipment (transducers) that can feed data directly into the laptops.

The lab is staffed by both peer and professional tutors who are available during afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. A convenient sign-up system lets students schedule time in advance for help in math and some science courses.
