The Levin Library provides many ways to help you with your assignments.

Online: We can answer online reference questions, recommend search strategies and resources, and offer instruction in the use of electronic and print materials.

Phone: Please call the Reference Desk at (617) 333-2167, during reference hours.

In person: Students can simply visit or call the reference desk during library hours.

By appointment: sign up in advance for personalized assistance at the Reference Desk. This helps busy students plan their day/evening. Appointments are available during normal reference hours. (Do you need an appointment?)

Students who wish to work with a specific librarian will now be able to check our reference desk schedules and sign up with their choice by matching their availability to the reference desk hours of their chosen librarian.

When students sign up, they will have the opportunity to explain their needs. This will allow the librarian to prepare for their meeting and have search strategies and materials ready in advance.

Professors who would like their entire classes to seek library assistance can now accomplish this more easily. By contacting the reference desk and explaining their course assignment, librarians can better prepare to meet the needs of this class when they come in for their individual or group appointments.
