As Curry College celebrates 125 years of Excellence in Education, President Kenneth K. Quigley, Jr. is proud to establish the Presidential Medal of Excellence, a new award to honor an individual demonstrating excellence in their profession or career; excellence in community service; and excellence in philanthropy.
Curry College is proud to award its first Presidential Medal of Excellence to Trustee John W. Keith, with great respect, gratitude, and recognition of a man who truly makes a difference and changes people’s lives for the
better.
John W. Keith unequivocally embodies excellence in his profession, community service and
philanthropy. Curry College is most fortunate that John W. Keith chooses to serve on its Board of Trustees, chair the Development Committee and
serve as a member of the Executive Committee.

John W. Keith is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Keith Companies, Inc., headquartered in Stoughton, MA. He has been actively involved in the residential development industry for more than 30 years.
In his early twenties, John bought his first house lot. Over the years John expanded from single-family houses to apartments to condominiums to office space. He worked with conventional lenders and with government agencies building throughout New England. Highly successful in all phases of residential housing, John is especially known for his expertise and experience in working with local communities to address the need for affordable housing.

Working with other apartment owners, he developed an expertise in renovating occupied apartment complexes that needed to be updated after 25 to 30 years of use. This new business has taken him throughout most of New England and into upstate New York. Under John’s leadership the business has flourished.
