John is the proud father of three children, Kristin, Erin and Jonathan, and grandfather to Charlotte and Molly. He is married to Shelley Hoon, President of The Hoon Companies, a successful general contractor in her own right. John and Shelley reside in Canton and are well known as very gracious hosts for the many charitable events held in their home.

Keith Properties, Inc. These well run, beautifully landscaped complexes are a testament to John’s long-standing commitment to his tenants and to the cities and towns in which he does business. He has received many awards including the Presidents Award for Industry Excellence from the Rental Housing Association. With wife Shelley Hoon, he received the Anti-Defamation League’s highest award, the Torch of Liberty Award, a tribute to those who inspire by their leadership and recognition of corporate leaders who utilize influence to affect positive change in their community.
John was born and raised in Milton and attended Wentworth Institute. He continues to enjoy the advice of his cherished mother, Frances Keith, and recalls and often quotes the practical wisdom of his late father, Oscar Keith, who as President of Mattapan Cooperative Bank helped many of today’s housing giants get their start. |
