Class Notes

’81

Bob Diotalevi ’81is a doctor and a Program Coordinator of Florida Gulf Coast University’s Legal Studies Program and has been promoted to Associate Professor. Bob has been with FGCU since 2002. He became a member of the Florida bar last year. He has been a Massachusetts attorney for 18 years.

Carol Gibbons ’81writes, “I have two children a daughter 14, and a son 7. I do a lot of volunteer work and consultant work for the Girl Scouts. I recently organized a concert with entertainer/ recording artist for Melinda Caroll from Hawaii at Bridgewater State College. I am working on a Girl Scout event in Boston at Boston University in 2005 for 500 girls from New England. I love coordinating large Girl Scout events. I’ve been a CCD teacher for the last 5 years and facilitate Catholic religious medals for Girl Scouts in my town. I recently received the Elizabeth Anne Seaton award at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston for my work with girls promoting faith development. I love life in the small town of Kingston, MA. My husband of 20 years has managed Light and Leisure here in Kingston for the last 13 years.”

Margaret "Peggy" L. Unsworth ’81 writes, "I've been working at the same company (Mass Glass Corp., Boston) as an administrative assistant since I left Curry!" his wife Julie-Ann and

Rodney L. Lampron ’83 resides in Norwood, MA with

sons Travis who is eight years old, and Brett who is four years old. He works as a General Sales Manager for Burke Distributing in Randolph, and has been doing this for the past twelve years. He spends time coaching his boys’ football, hockey and baseball teams. He hopes everyone from his class is doing well.

James O’Leary ’84 writes, “ My wife and I welcomed our second son Thomas Brady who was born on February 3, 2004. He joins his big brother James who is 2. I was one of three people honored by the Mustang Club of Medford for community service for my years coaching little league and CYO basketball in the city of Medford.”

Lee J. Randell ’84owns and operates a successful video company, LJ Productions.

’85

Linda Cahill ’85 is living in Chelmsford, MA with her husband, David, and sons, Christopher (11) and Connor (6). She is working as an RN at Mass General Hospital.

’86

David Fabricius ’86has been a teacher in Vermont for many years. He is also an officer in the Army National Guard. His unit may be deployed to Iraq. He has been married for seven years to a woman from Vermont. David thinks of Curry often and would love to hear from some old friends.

’87

Miriam Buttrick ’87 writes, “I have a great job, great kids, friends and family. I would love to hear from Curry friends!”

Bethann Grabelsky ’87 is now working as a paralegal for a law firm in Chicago. It is called Pomper and Goodman and she works in many specialty areas of the law. As mentioned in her last update, anyone who would like to get in touch with Bethann, she is reachable at (773) 935-4466 x520.

Robert Howson ’87married Julia Aiello on April 17, 2004.

’88

Laurie (Sullivan) Tannenbaum ’88 married Keith Tannenbaum in 1993. She received her Master of Science degree in Communications Management from Simmons College in 1994. Laurie currently lives in Auburn, ME with her husband and two boys, Zachary (9) and Dillon (6). She is self-employed as a contract technical writer.

’89

Frank Ciaramitaro ’89married Jennifer Johnson on June 14, 2003. He owns and operates a wholesale lobster company in Gloucester, MA. You can visit his website at: www.wholesalelobster.com.

Paul Cochran ’89 and his wife Rachael are the proud parents of Emily Madelyn born April 2003. In May 2004, Paul graduated from Suffolk University’s Sawyer School of Management with an Executive MBA.

Ed Moran ’89 writes, “After six months at WSNE in Providence, I packed up and decided to go back to school. I received my Masters of Social Work/Psychotherapy in Greenwich, CT. I live with my partner of twelve years.”

’90

Chris Decker ’90and his wife Kelly are the proud parents of 10 month old twin boys, Kyle and Matthew.

They currently live in the San Francisco Bay area.

Beth (Shuman) Stewart ’90 writes, “My husband, William Stewart, and I would like to announce the birth of our daughter, Sydney Danielle born April 5, 2004. She weighed 5 lbs, 8 oz. She has an older sister, Abigail Makenzie who is 3 years old. We live in Topsham, Maine.”

’92

Rosemary (Mulligan) Oldread ’92 and her husband, David, welcomed their second child, Molly Grace, on March 3, 2004. Molly Grace joins her big brother, Sean, who is now three. Rosemary is the Director of Marketing for Radio Disney in Orlando, FL.

John Wolk ’92 welcomed a baby daughter on August 24, 2004. John and his wife Tracy named their daughter Ivy Carol Wolk. She weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz. and was 19 inches.

’93

Marc Guttman ’93 reports that after several years working in the publishing industry as a computer specialist, he decided to change careers and applied to Hebrew College where he is in the Cantorial program and the Masters of Jewish Education program.

He currently resides in Waltham, MA and started teaching Jewish American History to 6th Graders in Winchester, MA this fall.
