Dante J. Germanotta, Professor Emeritus With great sadness, President Kenneth K. Quigley, Jr. reported to the Curry College community the passing of Professor Emeritus Dante J. Germanotta on April 13, 2004. Accompanying this news were President Quigley’s comments which conveyed his respect and appreciation for Professor Germanotta’s many accomplishments.
“Dante Germanotta served as an extraordinary member of the Curry faculty for nearly two decades. He served with great skill and integrity in a number of campus leadership roles including Chair of the Faculty, Chair of the Division of Behavioral Sciences and Education, Assistant to the President and Acting Dean. A committed advocate of social justice, Dante was involved in a variety of endeavors to improve society. These included the Justice Education Program at Curry, as well as his work on important housing and other social issues. The loss to our community is truly tremendous,” stated President Quigley.
Dante is survived by his wife Betsy, his children and grandchildren. A memorial service was held on the Curry campus to honor his life and pay tribute to his many contributions to the community.
Bernadette Mulkeen, Administrative Assistant in our department of Science and Mathematics at Curry College, passed away July 31, 2004 after complications from surgery for a
