The 10th Annual DIOP Round Table was held in February 2005, focusing on the topic of Race, Gender and Social Justice. Speakers included Patricia DeRosa, President of ChangeWorks Counsulting and Dr. Ulric Johnson, Professor of Psychology at Harvard and Springfield College. Dr. Magueye Seck, Curry College Professor of Sociology, moderated the event. Sheika Target ’05, Dr. Gabrielle Regney and Dr. Souily wan-N’Tani served as panelists.

The Red Sox World Series Championship Trophy came to Curry College in March 2005 courtesy of Tim Cahill, Massachusetts State Treasurer and Joe Sullivan, Executive Director of the Massachusetts State Lottery.

The long-awaited and much celebrated victory of the beloved Red Sox, the thrill of the 'curse reversed', and the chance to see the trophy up close and personal was a special experience for die-hard and fair-weather fans alike.

The classes of 2007 and 2008 hosted a diversity dinner in the Drapkin Student Center with entertainment by the popular steel drum band Island Breeze.

Women’s Studies, the Campus Activities Board (CAB) and the Student Government Association (SGA) sponsored a play and open mic event ­ That Takes Ovaries.

Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Steve Nelson held the 8th annual Football Fest at the Comedy Connection.

Junior Nursing students organized a wonderful Health Fair held in April in the President’s Dining Room. The fair included blood pressure screenings, cholesterol screenings, and body mass index calculations. The students presented information on nutrition, stress reduction, and related health topics. Sodexho provided healthy snacks and recipes and seated massage was available for those who attended.

Curry Theatre presented Arthur Miller’s The Crucible directed by John Barrett.

The Adult Center at PAL recently celebrated its 10th anniversary in April 2005.

The Littlefield Lecture Series on Creative Writing welcomed Bill Reynolds to campus in April 2005. Curry Magazine ImageBill Reynolds discussed and signed copies of his book COUSY: His Life, Career, and the Birth of Big-Time Basketball which explores Cousy’s upbringing, his career with the Celtics and as a coach for Boston College and the Cincinnati Royals.

The Management Department held its induction ceremony for Sigma Beta Delta, the Management Honor Society.

The Keighton Fund of Curry College presented two events for the enjoyment of the community in Spring 2005.

Tenor William Hite and pianist John Van Buskirk performed in April. The Chamber Orchestra of the University of Massachusetts Boston performed "Romantic Sensibilities" in May. The Chamber Orchestra performance was conducted by Jon Ceander Mitchell and featured pianist Timothy McFarland and soprano Marilyn Bulli.

Curry’s Chamber Choral and Curry private vocal & guitar students performed an evening concert of jazz, pop, rap, show tunes, and more in the May 2005 show, "Seasonings of Love," presented by the Fine and Applied Arts Department and the private studios of Professors Koch and Sandvik.

The Worcester Campus presented a Women in Business & Communication seminar in May 2005 which featured CBS4 News Anchor Lisa Hughes as keynote speaker.

Curry College Chairman of the Board Dr. James M. Sullivan and wife Diane hosted an annual Florida reception for trustees and good friends of Curry at the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club in Boca Raton, FL in March 2005.
