Class Notes

’22

Bessie Adams Zarikta passed away last year at the age of 103. She touched many lives throughout her extensive career teaching young children as well as college students.

’66

Peter W. Cray '66 is now retired and living in Fulshear, TX.

John R. Lawlor '66 is currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Lowell Telecommunications Corporation. LTC is a community media center serving the diverse urban population of Lowell, MA.

Edward Hauck '68 joined the Lalone Group in July 2004. He recently became engaged to Mary Clark Romney. Mary has three children, Steven, Aaron and Liz. His daughter, Heather, is in her last year of college in Connecticut and is majoring in Business.

Richard Pilling '69 has been the Director of Photography for Major League Baseball since 1994. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, Dale.

Michael R. Gagliardi '70 and Cheryl (Kirkby) Gagliardi '70 live in Syracuse, NY. Michael has worked in the Securities industry for the last ten years as the Branch Manager of the four office Finger Lakes Complex. Cheryl teaches first grade at Jamesville Elementary School. Their children Gerin, 29

and Mike, 27 both live in the Syracuse area.

Charles Stephen Nolan '70 writes, "I was appointed Vice Provost of Enrollment Management at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California, which is a suburb of San Jose and is 40 miles south of San Francisco. I began my new role in November 2003. I am responsible for Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid. I started my career in Admissions at Curry in 1972."

Marc A. Harris '71 writes, "I retired from the Federal Government over two years ago, and now work with an affordable housing developer. Judy and I made our longplanned move from the DC area to our new home in southwest Florida three days before Hurricane Charley hit. We look forward to winters (hopefully) warmer than we experienced in New England. Fellow Alumni from the class of 1971 are invited to stop by if they are in the area." Lloyd S. Mapp, Jr. '71 was hired by CitiBank/CityGroup in September 2004 to oversee mortgage operations at two financial centers in Brooklyn, NY. September 21, 2004 marked his 31st wedding anniversary to his wife Diane, who is an RN at LICH in Brooklyn.

Bernard C. Danton '73 writes, "I'm going out with Kathy Whitaker, my college sweetheart from 30 years ago."

Wendy (Davidov) Kelman '76 is working as the Manager of

Sales and Marketing for the State of Maryland Department of Tourism and is on the Board of Directors for Cross- Sphere, the Global Association for packaged travel. She and her husband Gary have two children, Graham, 20 and Ariel, 17.

Robin Lord '79 and her husband, Cary Coovert, currently live in Arlington, MA with their two daughters, Marisol, 10, and Neva, 6. Robin is currently employed as the Marketing Manager for Wide Horizons For Children, a non-profit international adoption agency. She is thrilled to have experienced adoption as a way to build her family and is pleased to be working in the field. You can contact her at rlord@whfc.org.

Robert L. Connelly '80 and his wife Carol are living in Kingston, MA. He is a Senior Claims Adjuster at Safety Insurance in Boston, MA.

Daniel W. Gleason '82 writes, "Hi to all my fellow alums. I recently joined IBM in Waltham via an acquisition and celebrated my eighth wedding anniversary on November 2. I have a 3-year old son named Liam James, born July 6, 2001. I'd love to hear from anyone I went to Curry with. And how 'bout those Red Sox?!"

William Seaward '83 is currently working for the Smith Barney division of CitiGroup as an Operations Manager for the Cape Cod branches.

Walter Labonte '84 is currently the Director of the Writing Center at Lebanon Valley College and is the Supervisor of Student Interns and Student Teachers. He also teaches introductory writing and literature courses.

John Joseph Manger '84 is currently living in Bel Air, MD with his 18-year old son Alex. He is working for Bio-Rad Laboratories, a biotechnology company, as a Clinical Systems Engineer. He writes, "It's a great job. My Curry degree at work!"

Deb Trivedi '84, with husband Dhrupad, son Nishaad (5) and baby Aria Natasha, born in October 2004.

Deborah Lehr Trivedi '84 and her husband Dhrupad welcomed their daughter, Aria Natasha, on October 2, 2004 at 8:45am. Aria joins her brother Nishaad, age 5. The Trivedi's recently moved to Pleasanton, CA.

Heather (Holm) Waite '85 has been married to David Waite for 14 years and has two children - a daughter Brooke and a son Corey. David R. Paul '85 and Mattie (Porwich) Paul '85 have been married for 18 years.
