National Alumni Council
Focuses on Fundraising
Enthusiastic support for Curry among alumni is riding an all-time high. Alums from across the decades from the 1930s through today proudly identify with their alma mater. To capture this spirit and to focus attention on fundraising in support of our students, a new, philanthropically driven National Alumni Council has been formed. Chaired by Kevan Joyce '90, each member has pledged to join the Silver Circle Society (gifts of $1,000 to $2,499) or higher.
The National Alumni Council held its inaugural, on-campus meeting on March 11, 2006 in the President's Dining Room at the Drapkin Student Center. Chairman Kevan Joyce '90 began his two-year term at the helm and will work with Alumni and Parent Relations Manager Christian Gordon and the other Council members on building a strong organization that will serve the Curry community for years to come.
President Kenneth K. Quigley, Jr. and Dean Susan Pennini opened the meeting with an inside look at the College's plans for growth. The Council then laid the groundwork for the coming year and established the guidelines by which it will operate. The Council works with issues relating to Alumni outreach programs and fundraising in an effort to support the mission of Curry College. |
