Curry Receives $500,000
Appropriation in Transportation Bill
The Transportation Bill enacted into law in December 2005 contains a $500,000 earmark appropriation for Curry College. This $500,000 appropriation was secured directly for Curry College by Congressman Stephen F. Lynch. The monies will be used to make roadway, shuttle and other improvements on our campus.
"Our College is grateful to Congressman Lynch for his efforts in including Curry College in the recently passed Transportation Bill," said President Kenneth K. Quigley, Jr. "As a result of these funds, we will all enjoy a better campus."

Senator Edward M. Kennedy Receives Lifetime Achievement Award at AICUM Gala

The Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in Massachusetts (AICUM) held an evening of celebration of independent higher education in Massachusetts on December 5 at the Seaport Hotel in Boston.
AICUM honored U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy with a Lifetime Achievement Award; Massachusetts Senate President Robert Travaglini with a Commitment to Access Award; and The Sallie Mae Fund, 13-year sponsor of Kids to College, with a Community Service Award.
Curry College President Kenneth K. Quigley, Jr., Chair of AICUM's executive committee, was joined by Curry students Jeremy J. Comeau and Donald S. Edmond, President of the Class of 2006, in presenting Senator Kennedy's award.
