The Curry community had much to celebrate at its annual faculty and staff recognition event, "Celebrate Curry," as we marked the 10th anniversary of President Quigley's administration.

After distributing numerous awards to faculty and staff, President Quigley himself was surprised to receive an award from Academic Vice President and Dean of Faculty
Dr. David A. Fedo.

In his remarks, Dean Fedo noted that President Quigley's vision, dedication, commitment and energy are evident every day. Dean Fedo also described our College's transformation, under President Quigley's leadership during his first five years in office, as a renaissance.

"That transformation, under your leadership as President, was Curry's own Renaissance, and included achieving financial stability; the spectacular improvement of the physical campus itself, including the building of a new residence hall; the

growth in enrollment; and the addition of new academic programs, among other accomplishments," said Dean Fedo.

Dean Fedo went on to acknowledge the many things that President Quigley, and the community, achieved in the most recent five years including, "more new buildings in place, and more to come; financial strength, including a bond approval rating; three flourishing campuses; a growing student population of Traditional, Continuing Education and Graduate students; and a rich and diverse faculty and staff that nurtures students in ways that are not possible at most other institutions.

"If Samuel Silas Curry and Anna Baright Curry could be with us tonight, in our College's 126th year, and could witness what you and we have accomplished collectively, they would be absolutely astonished and delighted."
