A Wet but Festive Homecoming and Family Weekend 2006

The driving rain and howling winds didn't put a damper on a great Home-coming and Family Weekend. Folks were a bit wet but spirits were high as alumni reconnected with faculty and fellow graduates. Alumni traveled from as far away as Ohio, Florida and California to share memories and see the new additions to the Curry campus.

On Friday evening, the Class of 1976 welcomed members of the classes of 1972-1978 to celebrate their 30th reunion, "The Spirit of '76". On Saturday, families of current students met faculty at the annual brunch. The rain didn't stop many alumni and families from cheering on the Colonels football team during their 37-13 win over Nichols College, while others stayed dry under the alumni tent. A capacity crowd warmed up at the afternoon Lobster Clambake held indoors in the Drapkin Student Center. In the evening, we were pleased to welcome alumni and parents for the first time into the Keith Auditorium at the new Academic and Performance Center for the sold-out Boston Improv comedy show. On Sunday, the farewell Jazz Brunch wrapped up the weekend.
