Excellence in Public Service
President Quigley received the Rental Housing Association's 2006 Excellence in Public Service Award at the RHA's President's Awards Dinner held on November 29, 2006 at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston, MA.
"The RHA is pleased to honor Kenneth K. Quigley, Jr.," said Robert J. McCullough, RHA president. "Under Ken's leadership, Curry College created the Residential Property Management program. Ken's unique partnership, which includes internships with Boston-area companies, is truly a win-win for our industry. While some RHA members are large national companies, many more do not have the resources to train their employees internally. Access to those highly qualified candidates is an invaluable resource for many of our members. We continue to be impressed with the intensity of the curriculum and the efforts of Ken to advance our industry."
The Rental Housing Association, an affiliate of the National Apartment Association, consists of over 525 members who own, manage, develop or supply goods and services to multi-family properties in Massachusetts. RHA is the industry leading trade association, providing effective advocacy, education and networking opportunities for its members. RHA's Excellence in Public Service Award is presented to a public service individual who best exemplifies excellence in public service benefiting the rental housing community.

President Quigley, a 1979 graduate of the Boston College School of Management, received the 2006 Excellence in Education Award from the Boston College Alumni Association during a ceremony held on October 19, 2006 at Boston College.
"I'm extremely grateful for the education I received at Boston College, and continue to benefit from that education literally every day — both personally and professionally," said President Quigley upon receiving the award.
He also noted, "My dad is a graduate of the Class of '50, and my mother — believe it or not — graduated with me in the Class of '79. I was in the day school and my mother in the evening school. My son Kevin is now in the Class of 2009, and I'm very, very grateful for the first-class education he is receiving at Boston College."
The Boston College Alumni Awards of Excellence program was established by the Alumni Association National Board of Directors in 1973-74 to broaden the opportunities for alumni recognition. Each year since then, the Boston College community has honored one alumna or alumnus in each of the following disciplines: Arts and Humanities, Commerce, Education, Health, Law, Public Service, Religion and Science. |
