| Celebrating Drapkin Day |
 |
On Monday, May 4, Curry College celebrated "Drapkin
Day". The event was coordinated by Student Activities
and included give-aways of t-shirts and prizes. Also
on display were some photos of Drapkin through the
years. Continuing a long standing tradition, Dining
Services sponsored the final Late Night Breakfast in
the Drapkin Dining Hall at 10:00 P.M. that evening.
The Frieda and Joseph Drapkin Student Center was
dedicated in the fall of 1971 and quickly become the
student "hub" of the campus. In addition to student
activities, the "original" Drapkin Center was home to a
number of staff offices including Mail Services, which
will be moving to the new Student Center, and Human
Resources, which will be moving temporarily to 65
Atherton, and then to the lower level of 55 Atherton in
August.
Allison
Coutts, Director of Student Activities, was excited
about being part of the planning for the event. "It is an
opportunity to celebrate the building that has been
such a large part of the College's history for the last 38
years".

| Moving into the New Student Center |
 |
The walls are papered and painted, the lights and
equipment are installed, the Curry Colonel is
prominently displayed on the center of the gymnasium
floor - the new Student Center is ready for its
occupants! The departments who will call the Student
Center their home began their move into this
spectacular new facility the week of May 11.
Over the past few weeks, those working in the new
Student Center have been feverishly preparing to
meet the "move-in week" deadline. Walking through
the building each day, the detailed finish work comes
more and more alive. Each location in the building is
designed and outfitted to enhance the experience of
its intended use.
You can continue to watch the progress of
construction on our website.
