The Curry Theatre Advantage opens doors to a wide variety of career choices after Curry. As a student you will gain invaluable on-site experience by working in positions beyond just acting, which leads to building a diverse resume for real world success in or out of the theatre discipline.
Curry College Theatre held two productions during the spring 2012 season: The main stage production was 'Guys and Dolls,' directed by Sarah Rozene-Wolski, and the Black Box performance was 'Beyond Therapy,' a farcical comedy, directed by Curry's own John Barrett. "I was confidently able to audition for my first professional jobs the month I graduated. That Summer I was offered roles in two professional productions and asked to work with the Children's Theatre as a Stage Manager at the Ogunquit Playhouse...," says Jennifer Fogarty '09, who was recently cast as Wednesday Addams in the National/International Tour of The Addams Family Musical. Curry Theatre operates in the magnificent Keith Auditorium, a facility which includes an experimental Black Box performance space, a full proscenium stage, two control booths, a state-of-the-art lighting system, a construction shop, an attractive lobby, an actors’ lounge and dressing rooms.
Curry Theatre students have had the opportunity to perform in a wide range of both contemporary and classic theatrical productions.
