Contact Julia Sloan

Dr. Julia Sloan is the Director of General Education and a full professor.  A Latin American and Mexican historian by training, Dr. Sloan received her PhD from the University of Houston.  Her research, conference presentations, and publications focus on Mexico in the 1960s, including student protest, the 1968 Olympics, the impact of Liberation Theology and Vatican II in Mexico, and Mexico's responses to the Cold War.  Dr. Sloan comes to Curry from Cazenovia College in Upstate New York, where she was a Professor of Social Science and Director of the International Studies Program.  Prior to that, she taught at the University of South Carolina Salkehatchie.
