Learning Outcomes
<p><strong>Upon successful completion of the Chemistry Minor students will be:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Competent in solving quantitative problems, and employ critical thinking and analytical reasoning to make sure that their answers are reasonable.</li>
<li>Able to clearly discuss the major concepts and the fundamental principles of chemistry i.e. thermodynamics, equilibrium, kinetics, atomic structure and bonding, chemical reactivity and synthesis.</li>
<li>Skilled in modern instrumental methods (NMR, IR, GS-MS) and techniques used in analytical and organic chemistry to analyze and characterize compounds.</li>
<li>Able to maintain a laboratory notebook based on standard practice.</li>
<li>Proficient in performing lab techniques, collecting, analyzing and evaluating experimental data.</li>
<li>Able to clearly communicate scientific information in both oral and written formats.</li>
<li>Skilled in the proper procedures and practices for safe handling and the use of chemicals</li>
