Presidential Search Firm - WittKieffer
In November of 2022, the Presidential Search Committee recommended, and the Board of Trustees unanimously approved a plan to engage WittKieffer as the search firm to partner with the College for the search for our next president.
WittKieffer has provided executive search services for more than 50 years focusing in the nonprofit sector specifically in higher education, healthcare, academic medicine, life sciences, and other industries. The firm has completed more than 100 presidential searches in the last five years including three searches at our peer/competitor/aspirant schools. In the last two years, 64% of WittKieffer searches in higher education were women and/or people of color. The WittKieffer team who will partner with Curry College has impressive credentials and includes Sheila Murphy, Consultant; Mercedes Chacon Vance, Senior Partner; and Lucy Leske, Senior Partner, Education Practice. We look forward to partnering with our WittKieffer colleagues to recruit and hire the best person to continue to move Curry College forward.
As part of the search process, the WittKieffer team met with faculty, staff, and students to gather information that will assist in defining the requirements for the next president and for developing the job specification that will be used to recruit candidates. These listening sessions took place before winter break.
Do you have an idea of someone who should be our next president?
Members of the Curry community have the opportunity to make suggestions, nominations and expressions of personal interest in the search for the next president of the College. We have retained the national search firm WittKieffer and are working directly with two New England-based consultants on the search. Thanks to the many members of the student body, faculty, staff and administration who participated in listening sessions before the holiday break to inform the priorities in the search.
You are welcome to nominate/suggest people in your networks whom you feel would serve Curry College well as the next president. All nominees will be informed by the search firm of their nomination, but they will not be told the name of the person who made the nomination. You do not need to know someone personally to suggest them for consideration. Please send the names (and titles and email addresses if you know them) of people whom you would like to nominate to:
