Dr. Elizabeth Kudzma holds graduate degrees from Boston College, Boston University and Harvard University School of Public Health.  She was appointed in 2008 as the program director for Curry's Master of Science in Nursing Program; she was Chair of the Curry nursing program from 1981 to 1998. She has consulted on nursing education for foreign (Indonesia and Slovenia) and domestic nursing programs.  She is certified by the National Certification Corporation (NCC) as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC).  Her publications are in the areas of women's health, pharmacogenomics and quality and safety.  She is currently editing the 8th edition of Health Promotion Throughout the Lifespan which will be published by Elsevier Mosby in 2013. She is a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) site evaluator and evaluation team leader and was a member of CCNE's Accreditation Review Committee (2005-2010). She was the Curry College Quality Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) Pilot School project director.  She currently serves on the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education Nursing Initiative Nurse of the Future (NOF) working group and was on the committee that wrote the NOF Nursing Core Competencies published in 2010. In 2012, she was the recipient of the Theresa LaPlante Award from Sigma Theta Tau Theta Chapter-at-Large for significant contributions to nursing education and research.
