Ms. Heidi Schultz joins the Visual and Performing Arts Department as a special appointment as an Assistant Professor for the 2017/2018 school year. Ms. Schultz comes to Curry from Missouri where she taught foundations art classes as an Adjunct at Northwest Missouri State University for 7 years. She earned her Master's degree in Ceramics from Kent State University in 2007 where she studied and created large scale ceramic sculpture. Her current art work deals with a modern interpretation of Buddhist deities and ideas using toys and street art styles in medium and large scale ceramic. Ms. Schultz has exhibited work all over the country including winning best of show at the KC Clay Guild Teabowl National in 2012 and a solo show in 2016 at Living Arts Tulsa in Oklahoma. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, golf, indoor rock climbing, samurai movies and playing guitar.
