Dr. Coleen Toronto has been teaching at Curry College School of Nursing since 2009. Prior to becoming an Assistant Professor in 2012, she taught in the nursing pre-licensure programs at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Boston College.
She currently is the clinical coordinator for the Population Health Nursing in the Community clinical course in the traditional and accelerated programs. In addition, she teaches in the traditional, accelerated, RN-BS and MSN programs.
She is certified as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE). She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and currently serves as Vice President for Framingham State University's Rho Phi Chapter. She is a member of the Association of Community Health Nursing Educators, Massachusetts Association of Public Health Nurses, Eastern Nursing Research Society, American Nursing Informatics Association, National League for Nursing, and Massachusetts Rhode Island League for Nursing. Dr. Toronto recently was elected to join the Metro West Health Foundation's Board of Trustees.
