Larry received his doctorate in Modern European History from Rutgers University in 1984 and started teaching at Curry College in 1998. He became chairperson of the Politics and History Department in 2005. His interests include 20th century France and Germany, US foreign policy, and propaganda. In 2003 he published Controlling Information in US Occupied Germany 1945-1949: Media Manipulation and Propaganda, looking at the role of the US Military Government's Information Control Division in occupied Germany after World War II. He is currently researching the domestic propaganda of the US government.
