Requirements for the Biology Minor:
Students can earn a minor in biology by taking any 15 credits in graded BIOL courses, at least six of which must be taken at Curry College.
NOTE: Any two-science laboratory courses from different science areas may be used in combination to fulfill the CLAC I science requirement.
Pre-Health Profession Studies
Students wishing to pursue a career as a physician, dentist, veterinarian, physician assistant, or other medical careers requiring an advanced degree should consider Curry's Pre-Health Profession Studies Program (This encompasses what are popularly called pre-med programs, pre-dental programs, etc). While not a major at any college, this program is designed to offer advice, guidance, and coursework to prepare students for a variety of career paths in medicine.
Exploratory Health Professions (EHP) Program
The Exploratory Health Professions (EHP) Program at Curry College is designed to help students interested in health services fields identify and pursue a major that will lead to internships and employment in the health care industry following graduation. Students selected for this program will take a common set of courses their first year and have the opportunity to participate in workshops and events throughout the year that assist with identifying strengths and interests and expose them to options in health related professions. At the end of the first year, EHP students will have the opportunity to declare their major and plan their pathway to graduation.

When Kenley Preval, '15, transferred to Curry from a large university, he was looking for a more hands-on Biology program. He wanted to be able to work one-on-one with professors while developing his research in the medical field.
Nick Messier '13 always had a clear idea of the career path he would take, and just months after graduating from Curry College, the dual biology/criminal justice major was already employed as a Biopharmaceutical Technologist at Charles River Laboratories in Wilmington, Mass.
