Welcome to Curry College, Class of 2028!!! We’re so excited for you to join our Curry family. As you move to campus and settle in before the start of classes, we’ve scheduled some activities to help you get acquainted with campus and learn more about what it means to be a student here at Curry.
*NOTE: All incoming first-year students, regardless of whether they are living on campus or commuting, are required to be a part of Welcome Weekend activities. Transfer students who have 23 or fewer credit hours of post-high school, face-to-face coursework from a regionally accredited traditional college campus will also be required to participate.
First-Year Student Move-in Across Campus

Check in and chill out during your new student’s move-in at the Family Drop-In Lounge. Grab a break, a bite, and a cool drink, meet other families, and learn about the ways you can be involved at Curry. (Sponsored by Family Programs & Constituent Engagement )
Down Time

We intentionally created space in our day for students and families to rest, run to the store, pick up parking passes, and spend quality time together. Lunch is not provided for those not involved in specific programming, but the Marketplace will be open!
PAL Family Drop-In

Quiet Study Lounge, Student Center
Parents of students enrolled in the Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL) are invited to drop into the Quiet Lounge on the 2nd floor of the Student Center to speak with the Co-Directors of PAL to ask any questions or concerns about programming in PAL.
Commuter Student/Family Gathering
3:00 - 3:45 p.m.
Large Meeting Room, Student Center
This is a required session for commuters and their families (families optional) to learn more about commuting to campus, best practices, our new commuter lounge, and go through the Welcome Weekend schedule. You will also pick up your Curry Student ID that you took at orientation this summer.
Commuters are expected to participate in all Welcome Weekend activities and receive all meals during this gathering. The Curry Shuttle schedule will also run during the Welcome Weekend program.
President’s Welcome Ceremony
4:00 - 4:45 p.m.
Student Center, Katz Gymnasium
All students and families will attend the formal welcoming ceremony for the Class of 2028. Families will leave after the welcome ceremony as students officially begin the Welcome Weekend schedule. For all new students, this session will provide information about expectations during orientation and the convocation's opening.
Final Goodbyes

The “final goodbye” for students and their families before kicking off the academic year.
Orientation Group Meetup

Meet up with your Orientation group from the summer. This will be your group for the entire Welcome Weekend program.

We will start the morning energized with Jennifer Borrero, an award-winning, first-generation Latina entrepreneur. Through her storytelling, Jennifer inspires students to realize they are capable and qualified to create change even if they are still figuring out their own journey.
Building a Culture of Consent and Community
11:00 a.m.

Sex Rules is an interactive, educational program aiming to help students navigate the sometimes complex romantic and sexual relationships they may have at Curry. The program will encourage healthy relationships by teaching students to practice giving and getting consent in everyday interactions. This program will discuss sexual assault and the ways that Curry students can prevent violence by looking out for each other and creating a culture of consent. Curry staff will be on-site to support students in the event that the subject matter becomes triggering.
