Curry College Commencement moves to the Xfinity Center
January 02, 2019

TOPICS:

Academics | Alumni Outcomes | Student Success

Commencement is a very special occasion at Curry College. It’s a time to honor the hard work and achievement of our students, recognize the support of family members, and honor the contributions of faculty and staff.

We want to share with you that the location of this year's ceremony has changed. Based on the needs and requests from students and families in past years, and to improve everyone’s experience, we are moving our Commencement ceremony to the Xfinity Center in Mansfield. As a reminder, this year’s Commencement is Sunday, May 19, 2019.

There are many benefits for graduates and families that come from holding Commencement at this exciting venue including:

  • More family and friends can attend as Curry will now be able to provide each student with eight tickets for guests in the covered seated area – double what was available in years past – while also allowing more guests access to the lawn, which has a view of the stage.
  • Everyone attending will have a great view to see their graduate cross the stage.
  • Xfinity Center’s state-of-the-art audio and visual production values will create an exciting and memorable experience for graduates, family, and the entire Curry community.
  • There is plenty of parking for the increased number of guests.
  • The venue is just 25 minutes away from campus.
  • Great hotels and restaurants are nearby and easily accessible.

Commencement event weekend details are being confirmed; additional information will be posted on this website with updates regarding all of the Commencement weekend events before the start of classes in January.

We look forward to welcoming our graduates, families, faculty, and staff to this exciting new venue and helping us start a new tradition for Curry College.

Sincerely,

Maryellen Kiley
Vice President for Student Affairs
