Education Faculty Attend Training Under Gates Foundation Grant

Education Department faculty members recently attended an observation calibration training, under a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. According to the Massachusetts Department of Education, which provided the training, calibration involves ongoing collaboration to reach a shared understanding of what education practices look like at various performance levels. It is intended to establish and maintain consistency in evaluating educators, helping establish norms and increasing confidence in the evaluation process.
