NCAA Division III Week is a national celebration highlighting the balance, passion, and community that define Division III athletics.
Across the country, institutions use the week to recognize not just competition, but the full journey of student-athletes: in the classroom, in their sport, and in their community.
Throughout the week, Curry College Athletics highlighted the balance of competition, academics, leadership, and community through events, games, and special moments that brought our student-athletes together.
BUILDING STRENGTH BEYOND COMPETITION
The week opened with an important event focused on holistic student-athlete development.
At the NDUR Olympics, student-athletes came together for a series of activities centered on teamwork, accountability, communication, and navigating adversity—reinforcing the importance of mental health and wellness beyond competition.
Curry College Athletics has a strong partnership with NDUR, a wellness app built to help athletes manage stress and build stronger habits of self-care.
NDUR is a mental wellness platform designed specifically for athletes, combining technology and sports psychology to provide practical support for daily mental performance.
Over 70% of Curry student-athletes utilize the NDUR platform.
The NDUR Olympics served as a reminder to our student-athletes that success isn’t just built on game day.
That message carried into Wednesday afternoon, when former New England Patriots linebacker Ted Johnson spoke openly about mental health, resilience, and identity beyond sport. During a special guest speaker event, Johnson shared his personal journey through head injuries, addiction, and mental health challenges, emphasizing the importance of seeking support and showing student-athletes that resilience begins with prioritizing their well-being.
Thursday’s Game Night on Katz Field gave student-athletes a chance to slow down and spend time together outside of practices and competition. With yard games, music, and a mini donut food truck, the night highlighted an important part of the student-athlete experience at Curry: being part of a community both on and off the field.
Dressed to the nines, our Colonels attended the inaugural Student-Athlete Gala at Granite Links to close out a memorable Division III Week in style.
