Craig Larson '84, a longtime sports editor at The Boston Globe, recently visited Professor Jeff Lemberg's journalism class to share professional insights and reporting tips for the digital age.
Craig suggested students hone in on key narrative moments in their game coverage, always paying particular attention to the final five minutes of play. He also shared how he packages stories differently for The Globe's print and digital editions, with the online versions often including additional multimedia content.
The longtime editor advised aspiring reporters to prepare to cover any number of topics in their careers, even unfamiliar ones.
"You must be adaptable as a sports journalist," he said.
