Two Boston Public Schools students were awarded full-tuition, four-year scholarships through Scholar Athletes earlier this week. One of these students, Rosedina Blanc, will start at Curry College this fall. CBS Boston, NECN, and the Boston Herald, among other major local news outlets, covered the announcement.
Four graduates of Scholar Athletes are currently attending Curry. The first of these students, Solanyel (Sonny) Perez, will receive her degree at Curry's Commencement ceremony on May 19. Scholar Athletes, which was founded by Suffolk CEO John Fish, supports academic achievement through athletics and wellness by partnering with public schools to close the opportunity gap for thousands of high school students across Massachusetts.
