Curry students, faculty, and staff recently came together for a two-day training session on restorative justice, led by Title IX Coordinator Rachel King and Dr. Jennifer Balboni, Professor of Criminal Justice and Sociology and Co-Director of the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice program.

The training covered the principles of restorative justice, practices of "circle" process, and ways restorative justice can be used on campus. The restorative justice framework seeks to collaboratively bring together parties involved in conflict to identify needs and ways to repair harm. The training also ran in the fall of 2018. Those who have completed the training are eligible to volunteer as community members in future restorative justice conferences and circles on campus.
