To respond to nursing shortages at the local and national levels, Curry College designed the Accelerated Nursing Program (ACCEL) to provide a route for students who want to make a career change into nursing by earning a second bachelor's degree. ACCEL is designed for qualified and highly motivated students who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another field.

Why Curry?
The accelerated and intensive structure of the program means that you can obtain a BS in Nursing in sixteen months. The program uses a cohort model, and students are accepted into a specific cohort that begins each January in Milton and each Fall in Plymouth. Each cohort is limited to 30 students thus affording students the opportunity to know their professors and fellow students well.
With a BS degree from Curry College you will have significant employment flexibility. Curry provides first rate clinical experiences in a wide range of hospitals and health care agencies. At the completion of the Nursing Program at Curry you will take the NCLEX-RN and be eligible to practice in all health care settings - acute care, ambulatory care, community health, and mental health.

The ACCEL Nursing program has an attractive fixed tuition cost to help students better manage their tuition payments. Our fixed tuition allows students to enter the program knowing the full cost of the ACCEL program tuition and not be subject to a tuition increase as long as they remain enrolled with their original cohort group. The ACCEL program charges no additional course fees. Expenses for textbooks and course-related materials are not included in the tuition.
For students entering the ACCEL Nursing program the fixed tuition is $55,350 ($1,107 per credit x 50 credits).

Application Deadlines
Fall Semester:

Application Requirements
- Completed application submitted online
- Current Resume
- Personal Statement : See writing prompts in FAQ sheet
- Official transcripts from the institutions where your undergraduate degree and/or perquisite courses are from. Note: an undergraduate GPA of 2.7 is required (3.0 preferred)
- Successfully complete at least two of the four required science prerequisites (see below) before the application deadline, for your application to be reviewed. All 6 prerequisite courses must be completed prior to entering the program.
- Non-refundable $50 application fee paid to Curry College
If you apply for financial aid, Curry's Student Financial Services Office will notify you after you are accepted about eligibility for a financial aid award if you have submitted a FAFSA application.

- Anatomy and Physiology I (4 credits with lab, B- or higher)
- Anatomy and Physiology II (4 credits with lab, B- or higher)
- Chemistry (4 credits with lab, B- or higher)
- Microbiology (4 credits with lab, B- or higher)
- Human Growth and Development (3 credits, non-science prerequisite, C- or higher)
- Statistics (3 credits, non-science prerequisite, C- or higher)
