In a period when the health care industry is focused on managed care, community health, and health promotion/disease prevention, the role of nurses takes center stage. Nurses today are expected to perform complex procedures, rely heavily on their own analytical abilities, and work more independently than ever before.

Why Earn Your BS in Nursing?

As a Registered Nurse, there is no better way to prepare for the growing demands of the dynamic workplace than to further your education. Learning has no age limit. Here are some of the reasons given by RNs regarding their decision to enter Curry's RN-BS Nursing Program:

  • Provides career advancement and broaden career options in the nursing field
  • Enhances personal and professional growth
  • Improves critical-thinking skills
  • Increases understanding of health care bureaucracy and policies
  • Augments ability to act as a change agent and patient advocate
  • Enables the pursuit of future graduate education

Why Curry?

  • Class formats that fit your schedule and learning needs: 8-week sessions – Fully Online or Hybrid Learning (weekly classroom meetings blended with online learning) – You choose!
  • Competitively priced tuition with no additional fees
  • Our generous transfer credit policy accepts up to 90 credits, including science class, no matter how long ago you completed the courses
  • Your RN license automatically awards you 34 transfer credits

RN to Baccalaureate (BSN, BS or Bachelor of Science in Nursing) programs provide an efficient bridge for diploma and ADN-prepared nurses who wish to develop stronger clinical reasoning and analytical skills to advance their careers. RN-to-BS programs build on initial nursing preparation with course work to enhance professional development, prepare for a broader scope of practice, and provide a better understanding of the cultural, political, economic, and social issues that affect patients and influence care delivery. While a BS in nursing and a BSN are different degrees, they are essentially interchangeable in the field of Nursing.
