Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
Choose between day and evening options while earning your Associate Degree.
The ASN program:
- Prepares you to take the NCLEX-RN exam to earn your RN license and practice as a registered nurse in two years.
- Offers tutoring and academic support services specific to nursing program content at no additional cost
- Allows you to choose between day or evening options to best fit your schedule
- Provides online options for general education courses
- Teaches nursing techniques in our state-of-the-art simulation lab

Our two-year associate degree allows for an easy transition into the RN-BS program. This fully online program provides flexibility for working nurses. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, you can unlock new career possibilities and higher earning potential.
LPN to RN: Advanced Placement
LPNs can earn their Associate Degree in Nursing faster with this accelerated pathway program.
LPN-RN Program Overview
The LPN-RN program allows you to quickly take your nursing licensure to the next level. As an LPN, you can get credit by examination for some professional coursework, meaning you’ll take fewer classes at Curry and finish your associate degree faster.
As an LPN-RN student, you
- Take arts and sciences courses in person or online
- Are eligible to take the HESI exam to get credit for Fundamentals and Maternity/Pediatrics courses when you score an 850 or higher
- Can benefit from evening options to best fit your schedule
- Practice nursing techniques in our state-of-the-art simulation center
- Apply what you learn by caring for patients at hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout Greater Boston
- Will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam to earn your RN license and practice as a registered nurse

Admission Requirements

- Pre-requisite courses:
- For High School/GED/HiSET completion (no college coursework completed)*
- Math: Two (2) years of math - one year must be algebra. Final grade of C+ or higher.
- Science: One (1) year of laboratory sciences (i.e. Life Science with lab). Final grade of C+ or higher.
- For Transfer Students and Associate Degree Holders, Students with a Prior Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree
- 3 credit college-level algebra course – C+ or higher
- 4 credit college-level science course – C+ or higher
- ATI TEAS Version 7 scores (Minimum scores: Reading 69%, Math 63%, English 60%, and Science 46%)
- Proof of High School diploma/ High School Transcript or higher degree
- GPA Requirement: 2.7 cumulative for all applicants (3.0 for Master's or Doctorate program)
- College Transcripts if applicable
- A $25 application fee
- Applicants with an active LPN license who want consideration for advancement placement must Select LPN to RN Advanced Placement on the ASN application
- LPN License Number for LPN-RN applicants
- CNA License Number if applicable
Note: Curry College is in the process of obtaining approval from the U.S. Department of Education to offer federal financial aid (Title IV federal aid) for the ASN program.
