Pursue an M.Ed. in DEIThose enrolled in the Master of Education in Elementary Education concentration learn in a small cohort and gain teaching experience in actual classrooms. From literacy and curriculum development to lesson planning and classroom management, educators explore key concepts of successful educational practice. Curry students also practice working with children with special needs and design techniques to adapt and differentiate instruction for learners. Offered in our Hyflex format which entails remote learning by choice.
Pursue an M.Ed. in Elementary EducationThe M.Ed. in Special Education concentration allows individuals enrolled to study alongside peers who are passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of students facing unique challenges. Through work done directly in the classroom, individuals deepen their understanding of lesson planning, classroom management and psycho-educational assessment. Pursue an M.Ed. in Special EducationCurry offers an M.Ed. program with the Needham Public School District. This is a full-time residency program for aspiring elementary education teachers. In 14 months, individuals can earn their very own classroom. The program is ideal for teaching assistants, childcare professionals and anyone interested in teaching as a career change.

With Needham Public SchoolsThe Principal and Supervisor Licensure program is a unique training opportunity that focuses on linking best practices with theory to achieve measurable, real-world performance goals. Educators who have already completed field and coursework but desire an administrative position can meet the 2012 Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) standards for administrative licensure through Curry’s CAGS program. CAGS allows individuals to obtain advanced credentials while studying conveniently online one evening per week.
Pursue a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies Learn More about DESE StandardsExperienced teachers who hold an initial or professional license in elementary education or moderate disabilities can earn a second license in one of these areas by completing just two additional courses and a practicum. Curry’s Second Teaching License program enables educators to achieve this through study at either our Milton or Plymouth campuses.
