The Neurodiversity Center for Excellence (NCE) supports neurodiverse individuals, equips employers, and fosters inclusive communities through a range of specialized services and training programs, building on Curry College’s long-standing commitment to supporting neurodivergent learners. Our approach is entrepreneurial, innovative, and research-driven, ensuring that we meet the evolving needs of professionals, organizations, and our students. We are dedicated to centering the priorities and voices of our neurodivergent and disabled students and community members in our work.

From the accommodation services, the wellness center, and my professors, to the PAL professors and the director of the SAIL Program, I have received excellent support here at Curry. Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL)

For more than 50 years, Curry's PAL program has provided learning resources for students with diagnosed learning differences, executive function challenges and/or ADHD.

Social Achievement in Learning (SAIL)

The SAIL program is designed for academically capable students with neurodiverse profiles who benefit from individualized support to reach their full potential in a college environment.

Curry Catalyst is a one-year structured, post-high school transition experience designed for students who benefit from additional support with social-emotional development, executive functioning, and personalized learning strategies.

Curry Compass is 2-year Transition and Postsecondary Program for Students with Intellectual Disabilities (TPSID) - an inclusive and innovative experience designed to support students with intellectual disabilities who seek additional programming to thrive in college and beyond.

PAL Faculty Publish New Book on Neurodiversity in Higher Education

A new book co-edited by Curry College faculty members Dr. Laurie Fox and Dr. Janis Peters highlights decades of leadership in neurodiversity and introduces the evolving work of the College's Neurodiversity Center for Excellence. The accessible eBook brings together contributions from 15 Curry-affiliated experts to support more inclusive learning in higher education.

Curry College Receives $165,000 Grant to Launch Employment Transition Program for Neurodivergent Young Adults

The Curry College Neurodiversity Center for Excellence received a $165,000 grant to launch an employment transition program designed for neurodivergent job seekers. The initiative focuses on building executive function skills, workplace readiness, and inclusive employer partnerships to improve employment outcomes for individuals with autism, ADHD, and other learning differences.

Curry College Awarded $2.3 Million Federal Grant to Launch Inclusive Transition Program

Curry College’s Neurodiversity Center for Excellence has received a five-year, $2.3 million federal grant from the U.S. Department of Education to establish Curry Compass, a new transition program for students with intellectual disabilities. The highly competitive TPSID grant positions Curry as the first institution in Massachusetts to receive this funding.

The Power of Difference: Curry College Awarded Commonwealth Corporation Grant to Expand Workforce Opportunities for Young Adults with Disabilities

Curry College has been selected as a recipient of a Commonwealth Corporation (CommCorp) grant through the Young Adults with Disabilities (YAWD) program. This competitive, state-funded initiative connects promising young adults with high-quality training, career readiness support, and meaningful employment opportunities.
