Maura Donovan joined the Curry College staff as the Director of Alumni & Constituent Engagement in May of 2023.
Previously, Maura spent 3 years working in Athletics at American International College (AIC), as the Assistant Director for Athletics Fundraising and Engagement. At AIC Maura focused on engaging former student-athletes, fundraising for the athletic department, sponsorships, ticket sales and special events. While at AIC she also served on the national NCAA Division II Wrestling Committee.
Prior to AIC, Maura was the Associate Director of Events and Regional Programs at Ithaca College, for seven years. There, Maura engaged with alumni around the nation to plan and execute regional events. Maura also created and recruited volunteers for the regional committees; served on the planning committees for the annual golf tournaments and the college’s 125th Celebration both on campus and on the road. Maura served on the committee that helped Ithaca set the NCAA Division III football attendance record in a game at MetLife Stadium against SUNY Cortland in 2019. A total of 45,161 fans watched the 61st Cortaca Jug game.
Prior to her time at Ithaca, Maura spent four years at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the Greater Syracuse, New York area. This came on the heels of seven years as the Assistant Director of Development in the athletic department at Syracuse University, as well as an Events Assistant for the Orange Bowl Committee.
Maura is also an avid skier, marathoner and triathlete. Maura has completed five marathons, over 20 half marathons, four half Ironman competitions as well as the Ironman Lake Placid in July 2019.
