Michael Foster is a native of Middlebury, VT, who double-majored in business and comparative philosophy at Lake Forest College (class of '86), and went on to complete an M.A. in history from Northeastern University (1990), and an M.L.S. from Simmons College (1995). He joined the Curry College faculty in 1995 as a reference librarian and writing instructor and served with the Curry Academic Enrichment Department for nearly 15 years. In 2020, he joined Curry's General Education Department, where he currently teaches courses in US history, first-year studies, and the General Education capstone. When he is not passionately teaching and advising students at Curry, you can often find him out on the links perfecting his golf game, playing his upright bass out with friends, or working on his off-grid cabin in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire with his wife and family.
