Karen Hurley brings over two decades of experience as a physical therapist, adaptive personal trainer, and inclusive programming specialist to her role at Curry College. With a strong commitment to empowering neurodiverse individuals through fitness and education, she integrates real-world experience with academic instruction to prepare future educators for inclusive, meaningful teaching practices.

She is the Executive Director of ABL Fitness—a nonprofit dedicated to building community and fostering ability through adaptive fitness—and the creator of the Peak Performance Playbook, a coaching guide designed to help professionals effectively support athletes with neurodiversity. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, where she was captain of the Women's Gymnastics team. She also earned a Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT), is a Certified CrossFit Level 2 Trainer (CFL2), and holds specialized certifications in Adaptive and Inclusive Fitness.
