Academic Excellence
Rebecca Pacheco is the author of two nonfiction books published by HarperCollins: Still Life: The Myths and Magic of Mindful Living (2021) and Do Your Om Thing: Bending Yoga Tradition to Fit Modern Life (2015), which was named one of the “Top 10 Books Every Yogi Needs” by Yoga Journal and is required reading in teacher training programs around the world. She has worked extensively on the marketing and editorial sides of new and legacy media.
An internationally recognized yoga and meditation teacher for more than two decades, she now blends writing and mindfulness for students. A creative community she founded in 2022, Good Art Friends, features writers of all levels and genres from New York Times bestsellers to people writing for self-care and inquiry.
She has taught creative writing (poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction) at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where she earned an M.F.A. in fiction, and holds a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in Women’s Studies from the University of Richmond.
